This web page contains links to the slides that I used in a panel discussion in the TAAI AI Forum '99. This panel section discussed topics about (1) AI research topics and (2) promotion of scholarly contact/exchange with internation AI communities. The topic of my talk was Data Mining with UAI Proceedings, where UAI stands for Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence. My talk provided a rudimentary analysis of the papers presented in the UAI proceedings published between 1993 to 1998. As you will see, the counting of the papers were based only on the identity of the first authors.

Disclaimer

The analysis provided a very narrow view over the UAI papers. Please interpret the presented data and charts with a grain of salt. Particularly, due to the limitation on space and time, there were no ways to report achievement of all UAI folk and their related institutions. The names, both personal and institutional, should never be interpreted as indication of their credibility, importance, and contribution to the field.
